E-Habits – How to optimize the Digital You

When it comes to helping our customers with the inadvertent consequences of living in a highly connected digital world, we speak from considerable and unique direct experience. For over eight years, we have pieced together the digital footprints left by individuals and organizations going about their daily lives. We have used these footprints to help clients understand the actions of their employees, and to mitigate the sometimes dangerous consequences.

So much so that we are – literally – writing the book on the subject. Look for E-Habits, the book about the Digital You by Cataphora CEO Elizabeth Charnock, published by McGraw-Hill.

The Software
Digital Mirror

The more we rely on technology, the heavier our digital footprint, and the longer the lifespan of the Digital You. It has never been more important, both professionally and personally, to understand how the real world experiences the Digital You.

To that end, we have created Digital Mirror, a software companion to the book, available in August 2010. We have applied expertise we have acquired over the years to produce software that paints a picture of the Digital You. The picture is presented through a variety of dynamic visualizations, which users can use to analyze their own digital footprint.

The inaugural version of Digital Mirror analyzes a user's data on one PC or laptop. The result is, of course, less definitive and all-encompassing than that provided by our commercial products, which analyze the behaviors of entire organizations. But we are sure you will find it provides a fun, provocative and - most importantly - useful insight into the Digital You.
